Bring urgent treatment to Westmorland General Hospital

Every week, dozens of ambulances are queued up outside Lancaster and Barrow’s A&E units; hundreds of operations across our area were cancelled during January; and our local health trusts continue to struggle to recruit enough doctors and nurses.

I/we the undersigned support the campaign for an Urgent Care Centre at Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.

This would not only provide urgent care closer to home for South Lakes residents, it would also help to relieve pressure on the A&E unit at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and ensure that ambulances are not stuck waiting there in long queues.
